Choose icons, buttons, or neither of these. Tap Icons to have PenPoint display icons. Each application has a unique icon, so you can tell at a glance what application was used to create the document. Tap Buttons to display a small button instead of an icon. You can use the buttons just like the icons: tap to turn to a page; double tap to float a page. Replace icons with buttons to display more documents in the Table of Contents. Make sure neither is chosen to display only the name of the document or section. Tap a check mark to remove it.Show Menu||Lets you specify the format of the Table of Contents. You can turn icons on or off, as well as columns containing information such as the type of the document, its size and creation date, and so on.Show Icon||Choose whether or not the icon for each document and section is shown at the left of the display. You can also sort the Table of Contents by various criteria.Column Header||Column Header - displays the name of the column in the Table of Contents. Create Menu||Use the Create Menu to create new documents from template documents (stationery). Tap Create, then tap the name of the stationery you want. The newly-created document appears as a new Notebook page immediately following the selected document or section. If nothing is selected, the new document is the last page of the Notebook. You can also display the Create Menu by drawing the caret gesture in the Table of Contents, or the double caret gesture in a document. To make stationery available through the Create Menu, tap the Stationery icon to open it, then tap the check box of the appropriate stationery.Turn To||Tap Turn To to go to the selected document or section. You can also turn to any document or section by tapping either the document's icon, or the document's page number.Bring To||Tap Bring To to float the selected document over the Notebook Table of Contents. Floating a document temporarily detaches it from itsplace in the Notebook and puts it on top of the current page. You can turn to other pages, and the document will also float over them. To close a floating document, tap its close corner. You can also float a document by double tapping its page number, icon, or tab. Be sure to turn on the floating preference in the Settings notebook before attempting to float a document.View Menu||The View Menu contains commands for displaying (Expand) or hiding (Collapse) documents in sections, and for turning to or floating (Turn to or Bring To) documents.Expand||Tap Expand to show all the document names in the selected section. If you haven't selected a section, all next level sections are expanded. You can also expand any closed section by double tapping on the section's name. Triple tap anywhere in the Table of Contents to expand all next level sections.Collapse||Tap Collapse to close the selected section. If you haven't selected a section, all of the sections will be collapsed. You can also collapse any open section by double tapping on the section's name. Quadruple tap anywhere in the Table of Contents to collapse all sections.Rename||Tap Rename to display an edit pad for editing or replacing the name of the selected document or section. You can also rename any document or section by drawing the circle gesture over its name, either in the Table of Contents or on the title line of the document itself.
