:What is FOG?
     The First Osborne Group (FOG) has been formed 
as a user's group for persons using or interested in 
portable computers and/or the CP/M disk operating 
system with related software.  FOG was started in 
October on 1981 by a small band of early buyers of 
the Osborne 1.  The primary purpose was to organize 
a library of public domain software to run on the 
Osborne 1.  A newsletter was quicky started to act 
as a focal point for the group's activities.  The 
large number of excellent contributions to both the 
library and the newsletter has produced a library of 
nearly 200 disks and a nicely typeset newsletter 
which is published monthly.
:How to Join
     Dues in FOG are $24.00 per year.  This entitles 
each member to a copy of the FOGHORN each month 
(mailed by non profit bulk mail to US addresses) as 
well as access to the library and further areas of 
this bulletin board.
     In addition to the membership fee, the 
following sums must be added for other delivery:
Canada & Mexico (or US 1st class).........ADD $ 9.00
Central or South America, Caribbean, and Europe.....

Asia, Africa, Far East....................ADD $15.00

     This phone is normally answered 10:00am to 
6:00pm Monday through Friday.  If we are in the 
office at other times, we will usually answer the 
phone.
     Members and others may call the office either 
with questions about membership matters or for 
technical assistance.
:Suggestions for improving FOG
     If you have some ideas for improving things, 
you can either put together a WordStar file (and 
upload it using XMODEM) or leave a message for the 
sysop.  
:Address change or other membership question
     To leave any address changes or other 
information changes, return to METAL and leave a 
PRIVATE message for the sysop (use either the APPLY 
or the E commands) leaving the system.  This 
information will be confidential unless you indicate 
otherwise when you leave the message.  BE SURE TO 
INCLUDE YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER.  If you do not, the 
information may not be entered properly.
     NEVER LEAVE A PUBLIC MESSAGE WHICH INCLUDES 
ANYONE'S FOG MEMBERSHIP NUMBER!!!!
